THERE ARE MANY GREAT STORIES.

How is your company distinguishing Portland? Tell us your story. We want to hear from businesses of all sizes located in the Portland-Vancouver region. Please tell us about your organization and its positive contributions to our region.

Stories should be no longer than 400 words. Please DO NOT send your company mission statement; we are looking for specific examples or stories about how your organization is getting involved.

We suggest the leader of your company or organization write your story and that it be written in first person.

Consider the following questions when telling your story:

  • How does your business give back to the community? Especially in the areas of sustainability, community investment (corporate giving, volunteering, philanthropy, etc), and global vision.
  • How is your company active in the community beyond the
    board room?
  • Why is giving back to the community important to you and your company?
  • Why did you choose Portland as the location for your business? Talk about the role that your company plays in the overall economic health of the region.
  • How does local business play a role in the health and vitality of our community?

Please provide a photograph of the CEO, owner, or manager. We would prefer a photo that incorporates the company or a specific project or event, rather than a standard studio headshot. The photo should be a minimum of 4" wide x 6" high and no larger than of 5" wide x 7" high; a minimum of 96 pixels per inch up to a maximum of 130 pixels per inch; and should be saved as a JPEG file.

Note: The Portland Business Alliance reserves the right to edit and/or reject all stories submitted. If major edits are required they will be sent to the submitter for final approval.
