Portland Regional Partners for Business includes information about this organization of public and private sector economic development professionals that focus on shared economic priorities, and works to implement business retention, expansion and recruitment, as well as marketing strategies and recommendations for policy development.

The Portland Development Commission (PDC) serves as the city’s urban renewal, housing and economic development agency. The Alliance of Portland Neighborhood Business Associations (APNBA) represents Portland business district associations located in neighborhoods, industrial sanctuaries, town centers, and main streets.

The Port of Portland Small Business Development Program focuses on increasing access and participation of small business in Port business opportunities and assisting small business development through their Port Mentor Protégé Program and partners.

The U.S. Small Business Administration offers a variety of public financial assistance programs for new and existing businesses.

Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs (OAME) provides direct financial assistance to business owners through several funding programs. It is a non-profit organization formed to promote and develop minority entrepreneurship in the state of Oregon.

Worksystems, Inc. (WSI) is staff to the Local Workforce Investment Board of the City of Portland, Multnomah and Washington Counties. At the direction of the Board, WSI invests in employment and training programs for business, youth, and the adult workforce, while building regional partnerships for a strong economy.
