Advocacy and Business Issues
Public Policy Committee: Serves as a forum for members to give input on public policy that impacts business. The committee will meet every other month on the fourth Wednesday of the month, at different locations around town. All members are welcome to participate.
Transportation Committee: Develops and reviews public policy proposals related to a broad range of transportation systems, mass transit, freight mobility and fair and adequate transportation funding.
Land Use Committee: Develops and reviews public policy proposals related to the broad range of land use issues.
Small Business Council: Works on implementation of the Small Business Prosperity Strategy developed by the Alliance, city, neighborhood and business organizations.

International Trade and Federal Tax Policy
Pacific Northwest International Trade Association (PNITA) Council: Advocates and educates on issues to enhance international trade and remove barriers to global competition.

Vibrant Downtown
Central City Standing Committee: Provides leadership in maintaining the appearance, safety and function of the Central City to keep it clean, safe and attractive.
Downtown Retail Council: Conducts cooperative retail promotions. Oversees implementation of the Downtown Retail Strategy and represents the collective interests of downtown retailers to elected governmental bodies. Operates the downtown Business Improvement District. Members must be restaurateurs, hoteliers or retailers inside the downtown Business Improvement District.
Public Safety Committee: Develops and reviews Central City public-safety oriented initiatives, policies and programs.
Development Committee: Develops and reviews initiatives, programs and policies related to public spaces, land use, development and housing issues unique to the Central City.

Supporting the Alliance
Marketing Communications Committee: Plans and develops marketing and communications efforts that support the positioning of the Portland Business Alliance and the general business community; and advises on the Alliance's large-scale events. Chair sits on the Alliance's board and its Executive Committee.
President's Council: Council members act as membership mentors to new members and assist in member retention. Members also serve as event Ambassadors. Eligibility begins after six months of membership and once the member has attended all events at least once.

Sustainability
Green Round Table: Provides an avenue for like-minded members to get together to share information and network. Supports Green Hour events and a quarterly Green Bag Lunch presentation to share knowledge with the broad membership.

Young Professionals & Civic Involvement
EMERGE Committee: Plans and executes EMERGE Exclusive events, EMERGE Excursion events and several EMERGE Engage events per year.

Events
Golf Scramble: Plans and executes annual golf scramble and silent auction held in September. (Active April through September)
Chair's Cup: Plans and executes annual executive golf tournament held in May. (Active February through May)
Women's Golf Scramble: Plans and executes annual women’s 9-hole golf scramble held in June. (Active March through June)
