Sustainability Committee

As Portland's economy moves into the 21st century, new target industries need to be developed. There is a growing reputation for the Portland Metropolitan Area as the epicenter of Sustainable Business Development. Due to the increased demand on sustainable business products and practices, the Portland Business Alliance has created a committee to explore how we can help develop this growing sector.

Sustainability Committee Focus:

• Increase awareness of sustainable practices and facilitate sustainable knowledge sharing between companies so they have the tools and know-how they need to implement sustainability into their businesses.
• Build a reputation for Portland and Oregon as an ideal location for certain industries and companies for which sustainability is a core value.
• Advocate for public policy that will support the growth of sustainable industries in the city and state.
